Kelsey community school gets Tipi back

For many students in the tri-community, this academic year should be an eventful one now that pandemic restrictions have been set aside.

Kelsey Community School was excited to set up their tipi in the library again, after having to take it down due to COVID-19. 

“We were able to once again erect our tipi in the library,” said Kelsey Community School Librarian Cheryl Antonio. “It has been down since COVID-19. The tipi is built with traditional materials and having it in the school is a perfect opportunity for teaching students and community night participants about the tipi. Each pole has a special meaning, while the flaps, the shape; everything about the tipi has a teaching."
