Thursday, a gathering was held in Devon Park to honour the National Day of Awareness for MMIWG2S. The three-hour event summoned forth emotions as loved ones of those who have been murdered or who still reside on the missing list solemnly came together to pay tribute to their cherished family and friends. Two teepees were set up on the site, one for mobile crisis support with two workers inside and one for an elder to speak with those who wished to do so.
