Bringing along a young team is a challenge game to game. Sometimes the losses start to pile up and it’s hard for younger players to see that they are improving.
And then it all comes together – as the famous quote goes, “winning solves everything”.
The Northern Manitoba Blizzard won a high-scoring afternoon affair Friday on home ice, snapping an 11-game losing skid, and giving interim head coach Derek Puttick and his charges a must needed win.
“It was a much needed win for the team,” said Puttick. “We’ve been in a lot of games but fallen short. Getting the win will be a confidence boost for everyone.”
