When you enter the week dangerously close to the playoff line and with every other team retaining games in hand on you, the best thing you can do for yourself is win often.
That’s what the OCN Blizzard did last week, stringing together four massive victories to surge to the top of the MJHL’s MGEU West Division, one point up on the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.
The Blizzard are also now four points clear of fourth-place Dauphin and Virden thanks to their win streak. However, all teams still retain games in hand on the Blizzard, making those eight points last week that much more important.
“It’s was much needed this week, and we needed to pick up these points in the East,” says OCN Head Coach Doug Johnson. “The guys have risen to the challenge and did a great job. That’s all we can ask for.”
