OCN Blizzard busy with trades at MJHL Draft

The OCN Blizzard made it to the final four of the MJHL last season (you could even say the final three). Always looking to improve, the Blizzard made a splash in the 2024 MJHL draft on Sunday, selecting nine players in the draft plus one auto protect to really restock the cupboard with prospects.
Head Scout Mark Patton offered some thoughts on all the picks.
OCN had traded their first-round pick to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines, but managed to pull off a deal to take the Winnipeg Blues’ first selection, second overall. With it they took Alexandre Andre of Winnipeg. The left-shooting centre, who stands five foot eight inches and weighs 137 pounds, had nine goals and 21 assists in 43 games with the Winnipeg Bruins last year.
