Manitoba kid's will get an extra couple of days off school this Christmas break.
The provincial government said Wednesday that it is extending the time off, until Jan. 10, to give public health officials additional time to assess the risk of the omicron variant in Manitoba and what changes might be needed on the return to school in early January.
Education Minister Cliff Cullen made the announcement. Originally students were expected to return to school on Jan. 6.
