Prairie Mountain Health held its annual general meeting on Zoom, last week, offering residents of the health region a look at the 2021-22 fiscal year.

Board chair Lon Cullen welcomed those attending the AGM and offered a Treaty Land Acknowledgement.

Cullen noted the health authority operates under the direction of a 12-member board appointed by the provincial health minister and went on to acknowledge current board members.

He thanked three members whose terms expired over the course of the past year.

Cullen noted that although the board members reside in different communities, they all represent the entire region at the board table.

The board’s mandate and responsibilities, spelled out by provincial legislation, includes planning, managing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating regional health services.

Cullen offered the board’s thanks to PMH’s executive management team.
