For the first time since 2019, the Dauphin Men’s Bonspiel hit the ice at the Parkland Recreation Complex, with 24 teams vying for top spot.
In the end it was Winnipeg’s Paul Scinocca and his team of Myron Bowerman, Tim Loeb and Justin Hartloper who won the first event, sponsored by Embroidery by Design.
Scinocca beat Ron Rempel in the final for his third men’s bonspiel title.
In third place was Kyle Forsyth and Darcy Todoruk was fourth.
In the second event, sponsored by McMunn and Yates Building Supplies, Chad Sahulka and his team of Brady Sahulka, Keith Murkin and Osten Sahulka won over Glenn Rozak, with Bart Michaleski in third place and Todd Aitken in fourth.
The third event, sponsored by Parkland Source for Sports, was won by the team of Dwight Bottrell, Morley Bourns, Steven Soloway and Nick Ogryzlo. They defeated Greg Thompson in the final. Third place went to Ruff’s Furniture and Dan Scott was fourth.
The fourth event, sponsored by Baker Computers, was won by Peter Prokopowich, Kevin Lynch, Vern Ellis and Mike Bicklmeier. The runner-up was Greg Todoruk, while Tom Messinbird was third and Eric Solski was fourth.
Next up is the Dauphin Ladies Bonspiel, which goes, Mar. 18 to 20.
