FIRST AID / CPR / AED TRAINING COURSE
When: Wednesday, November 29th and Thursday, November 30th
Time: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Where: The Pas Regional Library Annex, 53 Edwards Avenue
Thanks to a grant from The Pas Community Renewal Corp (TPCRC) Small Grants Program, Community Futures Cedar Lake Region is able to offer the First Aid/CPR training course at no cost to attendees.
Intermediate first aid is for individuals requiring comprehensive information on First Aid and CPR for the workplace, at school, or in one’s personal life.
The program being offered covers:
- All CPR-C, which mean that all aspects of CPR skills are taught which includes theory for adult, child and infants, including one and two-rescuer CPR skills. It is considered all Inclusive Approach.
- The use of an AED, or automated external defibrillator, which is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
- Emergency Scene Management
o Severe Bleeding
o Medical Conditions and now included Opioid poisoning.
o Burns, poisons along with environmental Emergencies
o Chest and Abdominal injuries
o Multiple Casualty Management
o Moving and Transporting Casualties
o Mental Health Awareness.
Having First Aid/CPR knowledge is invaluable as often we don’t have immediate access to ambulances, medical and is good for people doing work in remote areas.
