The council of the Rural Municipality of Riding Mountain West has a passed a resolution allowing GIP (Russell Redi-Mix) to go ahead with plans for a gravel pit north of the Asessippi Ski Resort and south of its current quarry alongPTH #83.
In a recorded vote, the resolution passed four to two with Councillors Wes Anderson and Judy Snitynsky casting the dissenting votes.
