HERO Club celebrates
On Friday, Oct. 3, Roblin’s HERO Club proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary – a milestone that highlights a quarter-century of compassion, connection, and community support for individuals living with mental health.
Far more than just a gathering place, the HERO Club has long served as a safe and welcoming environment where members can be themselves, free from judgment.

It's Library Month
October is a month full of events, I found 32 health awareness events happening as well as Thanksgiving but October is also Canadian Library Month.
Upcoming events this month at the library include: Book Club meeting on Oct. 15 at 5 p.m.; STEAM Oct 16, 2 to 6 p.m. focuses on building paddle boats and STEAM Oct. 2, 2 to 6 p.m., focused on flipbook animation.

Local woman charged
RCMP in Dauphin are continuing to investigate an incident that took place Sept. 26 which resulted in three people taken into custody.
Around 9:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of unruly patrons who were damaging property and threatening customers with bear spray at a bar in Dauphin.

RFR celebrates
The Roblin Fire & Rescue department is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association to promote this year’s FPW campaign.
The campaign highlights how important it is to buy, charge, and recycle lithium-ion batteries safely.

Exciting day for the committee
Wednesday was an exciting day for chair Kathy Zachedniak and the rest of the Roblin Playgrounds Revitalization Committee.
That’s because a crew from Len’s Landscaping out of Winkler arrived in town to deliver and install the main playground structure at Lions Park.

Teams host tourney
Goose Lake High’s varsity volleyball teams saw mixed results as the Angels and Raiders hosted their invitational tournaments Friday and Saturday.
With 16 teams in action, games took place at both Goose Lake High and Roblin Elementary School.

Canada has an opportunity to diversify $12 billion of food and beverage exports to non-U.S. markets to protect against trade disruption, enhance global competitiveness and build a more resilient agriculture and food system.
That’s according to a report by Farm Credit Canada (FCC) titled The $12-billion trade shift: Canada’s opportunity to diversify food exports beyond the U.S.

Fall harvest festival a hit
Organizers of Roblin’s third annual Fall Harvest Festival are reporting another successful event.
The festival took place Saturday, Sept. 13 and featured activities for kids including a petting zoo – for the first time, a craft show/farmer’s market for the older crowd, and the return of Luke Mitchell’s pumpkin patch.

Father, son up for MCMAs
It might not exactly be news that Roblin’s Ryan Keown is up for more Manitoba Country Music Awards in 2025.
The perennial MCMA nominee and independent country artist who has been a nominee in various categories since 2015, has picked up another three nominations this year .

Support for the daycare
Roblin’s Parkway Co-op held its annual Fuel Good Day Sept. 16 for the benefit of the Roblin Children’s Centre, offering to donate 10 cents a litre for fuel sold at the pump along with $1 from each sale of coffee or Slushie added to the total.
With 15,527 litres, 116 coffees and 35 Slushies sold, the promo brought in a grand total of $1,703.70.
