Coming Together
The Swan Valley Animal Protection League held their annual spring banquet this past weekend (April. 13) inside the Veteran’s Community Hall where they had many games and draws that people got into, along with having a great supper, courtesy of Johnny and Jenna Catering.
Season Conclusion
The Kinsmen Club of Swan River held their Kinsmen Cup tournament this past weekend (March. 22-24), with 10 teams battling it out for the Kinsmen Cup. The Bowsman Silver Seven were able to go back to back, defeating the young Baden Brawlers 5-2 in the final.
Letting Loose
The Thunderhill Ski Club held their Mardi Gras event this past Saturday (March. 9) where they had many activities in place such as races, an easter egg hunt, and a costume contest.

Louis Riel Day Celebrations
The Manitoba Metis Federation celebrated Louis Riel Day at the Elbert Chartrand Friendship Centre yesterday (Feb. 19). Traditional displays included animal pelts and trapping equipment and those were accompanied by games and crafts for youth. The event also offered a traditional feast.
