The City of Brandon and Fusion Credit Union have signed an agreement with the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) to drive community development and economic growth in Brandon.

The City of Brandon has forged a partnership with Fusion Credit Union, CIB, and the Province of Manitoba, focusing on essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

The AGM attracted 83 online viewers, who as well as learning about some of the health authority’s successes during the last fiscal year, got the opportunity to ask questions following the formal part of the presentation.

Last month I was asked about what to do regarding a veritable invasion of snakes at a rural residence.

The resident has been relocating hundreds of snakes from around their house, carrying the wiggling mass in a large plastic garbage bin to a grassy area about a kilometer away.

Seventy-three students were recognized for the academic achievements in the 2023-24 school year Tuesday (Oct. 22) as Goose Lake High held its annual Awards Day for undergrads.

“You just never know from year to year how many parents we’re going to have, I think the weather sometimes helps too as it’s not the nicest day today,” noted GLH principal Kirk Wilson. “So thanks for joining us today for our annual academic awards ceremony.”
